Meet the team

Hi, I’m George!

Your Lead Veterinary Surgeon and Director here at Moorland Vets. I have always been around animals, having grown up on a farm. I pursued my childhood ambition of becoming a Vet and graduated from the University of Bristol in July 2022. Following graduation, I worked in a busy small animal veterinary surgery. In December 2023 I was ready for change and decided to go it alone. I initially provided a limited mobile service, but this then soon grew to become something much bigger. From here Moorland Vets was born! Moorland Vets will be opening its 24/7 Small Animal Practice in Bratton Fleming, North Devon later this summer. I can’t wait to welcome you to the practice!

Hi, I'm Jessica!

I am a Client Care Advisor here at Moorland Vets. I have always been around animals, large and small, from hamsters to horses since a very young age! I live on a farm very local to the practice. Bringing a background in customer service, I am excited to bring my skillset to the practice and be surrounded by animals all day long! I currently have five of my own dogs so I know how important it is to be greeted with a friendly face when visiting the Vets, and knowing my pet is in good hands. I cannot wait to welcome you and your pets to the practice!

Hi, I'm Louise!

I am a Client Care Advisor at Moorland Vets. With a lifelong passion for animals, especially dogs and horses, although our practice cat Elsa is expanding my horizons. My partner and I have 12 dogs, along with horses and a foal, so I truly appreciate how special animals are to their humans and the importance of being welcomed by a friendly face at the vets. Prior to joining moorland vets, I spent four years as a dog groomer and felt it was time for a change, which led me to this wonderful place where I enjoy meeting all our clients and their beloved pets. I am eager to deepen my knowledge and grow within the industry while working at an independent practice where both staff and patients are genuinely valued and cared for. I look forward to meeting more of our lovely clients soon.

Hi, I'm Jess!

A Registered Veterinary Nurse at Moorland Vets. I bring a lifelong passion for animal care to our practice. My upbringing was enriched by diverse experiences with animals of all sizes, from volunteering on alpaca and donkey farms to caring for a variety of family pets, including guinea pigs, dogs, cats, and horses. This background nurtured my dedication to animal welfare, leading me to pursue a degree in veterinary nursing. I proudly graduated from Harper Adams University in the summer of 2024. My education was complemented by a year and a half of hands-on experience in a mixed animal practice, where I honed my skills in a real-world setting. I am excited to apply my knowledge and expertise to provide the highest level of care for all the pets that visit our practice.

Hi, I'm Lucy!

A Registered Veterinary Nurse here at Moorland Vets. I have always been around animals from a young age. With dogs, cats and ponies being within the family. Since then I pursued a career in Veterinary Nursing and graduated from Harper Adams University in 2012. Since graduating 12 years ago, for my first job I worked in a small practice in Somerset. Following on, for the past 11 years I worked in a busy small and large animal practice. When not at work, I like to put my creative mind on – bake, knit etc. Also being outside on the moors or by the coastline and spending time with my dog and cat. I’m extremely passionate to be working at Moorland vets being an independent practice that generally has the staff and patients in mind. I am looking forward to using my experience & knowledge in looking after your pets.

Hi, I'm Chloe!

I am a Registered Veterinary Nurse here at Moorland Vets. Having always had a love for animals and growing up around so many; veterinary nursing really is the perfect career for me! I am extremely excited and honoured to be working for Moorland Vets being an independent company who genuinely have animals at their best interest. When I’m not working you’ll probably see me running/walking around the village with my lovely but mad pointer dog. I love all animals but I do have a soft spot for cats owning 3 of my own. I can’t wait to get stuck in making sure all your little (and big) family members receive the best possible care whilst in practice with us.
